Dr. Michael Lazanakis

Dr. Michael Lazanakis graduated from Athens College in 1983 and he entered the Medical School of University of Patras from where he graduated in 1989. After one year training in General Surgery in the General Hospital of Athens and his military service he moved in Great Britain in 1994. He performed his full training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in rotating Hospitals in North London and qualified as a Consultant. He obtained the titles of Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) of United Kingdom. He was specialised in Fetal Medicine (Royal Free Hospital, London) in endoscopic surgery ( University College Hospital of London & Harold Wood Hospital, Essex) and in Colposcopy (South-End Hospital Essex). He was certified the diploma of Obstetric Ultrasound from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologiststs and the Royal College of Radiologists, and the diploma in Colposcopy from the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology). He is also a member of the British Society of Endoscopy and European Society of Gynaecological endoscopy the International Society of Ultrasound and Member of the Family Planning Society of U.K. His more recent jobs before returning to Greece was Senior Registrar at University College Hospital, London and Consultant at the Queen Charlotte’s and Hammersmith Hospital, London. From the beginning of 2004 he has settled in Athens and he is affiliated with IASO and LETO private Hospitals.
